The run, sponsored by St Paul's Lutheran Church and Bella Vista Christian Academy, was part of the two groups’ Oktoberfest. Entry fees helped raise more than $1,300 for charity, including Building Together Today, which is one of the local groups helped during Saturday’s National Day of Service.
The non-profit helps repair and remodel homes for low-income families and seniors. Kimball High’s water polo teams also benefited from the event.
Paul Reisdorf was the overall winner of the 5K race with a time of 18:56, and the overall winner for the women was Michaela Loomis (22:23).
Women’s and men’s divisional winners included Caitlin O'Neill (23:23) and Will Gilbert (30:18) in the 13 and under age group; Loomis and Cody Miller (19:23) in 14-19 age group; Kari O'Hara (29:29) and Jacob O'Hara (21:59) in the 20-29 group; Jennifer Bamberger (25:35) and Tim Paulson (23:47) in the 30-39 division; Kelly Heightchew (35:35) and Keith Kasarjlan (20:09) in the 40-44 group; Jill Toepher (22:47) and Elvin Low (28:52) in the 45-49 division, Noel Colina (20:53) in the men’s 50-54 group, and Bryan Holmes (30:45) in the men’s over 55 group.
