A caller reported at 9:26 p.m. Tuesday hearing two or three gunshots on the first block of South West Street.
The caller said a man and woman who live nearby were arguing, and then the caller heard two or three gunshots after the front door was open.
A second caller also reported hearing gunfire, and an officer said someone in a pickup fired shots near South Court, and “yelled northside as they drove through.”
The Tracy Police Department received 184 calls for service Tuesday. The following is a sample of those calls:
12:49 a.m.: A man with scratch marks on his arms and neck told workers at the emergency room of the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, 1420 N. Tracy Blvd., that he got hurt in “an argument and hit a mirror.” He refused to give any details to an officer and left the hospital.
8:02 a.m.: A caller reported “both of his vehicles” were broken into on the 400 block of Cumberland Drive.
9:18 a.m.: A caller reported a dog that had either been hit by a car or was sick was in a ditch at MacArthur Drive and Schulte Road. An officer set out a dog trap but saw no dog.
9:41 a.m.: A caller reported a vacant house was broken into on the 300 block of East 22nd Street.
10:35 a.m.: A caller reported a woman was living in a storage shed at a baseball field at Monte Vista Middle School, 751 W. Lowell Ave.
11:16 a.m.: A caller from the Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., reported an employee’s car was broken into.
12:09 p.m.: A caller reported two guys sitting in a red Mazda Protégé were smoking drugs in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo Bank, 1900 W. 11th St.
12:50 p.m.: Someone broke into a car at the 99 Cents Only Store, 1320 W. 11th St., a caller said.
1:36 p.m.: A car was broken into at Target, 2800 Naglee Road, a caller reported.
2:57 p.m.: A woman who said she was picking up her son at West High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave., when her 2005 Chevy Silverado pickup was stolen.
3:02 p.m.: A caller on the 1500 block of Tamarisk Lane reported her 85-year-old mother hit her, and she hid in her room. She said her mother regularly abuses her, but declined prosecution because her mom “suffers from mental troubles.”
4:17 p.m.: A woman reported several kids were “harassing her daughter” and “vandalizing her mail” by tossing it on the ground on the 400 block of Palm Circle.
4:34 p.m.: A man reported his 18-wheel Peterbilt and a trailer were stolen from Corral Hollow and Linne roads.
4:42 p.m.: A caller reported a fight at Third Street and Central Avenue that involved six boys, one of whom was “armed with a steering wheel club.”
5:35 p.m.: A caller on the 1700 block of Cherry Blossom Lane said a guy reached into his car and stole his laptop, then ran off.
5:49 p.m.: A woman said someone broke her fence while trying to break into her house on the 700 block of Sequoia Boulevard.
6:29 p.m.: A caller from Best buy, 2550 Naglee Road, told police an employee was caught stealing video games on Sunday but it was never reported. The caller said the suspect admitted to the theft and promised repay in a written statement.
8:51 p.m.: A woman on the 200 block of Whittier Avenue reported her “daughter’s father” hit her. Police arrested a 25-year-old man.

The latest item they stole was a 55 Toshiba TV.
