Tracy police received 374 calls for service Friday, April 13, through Sunday, April 15. The following is a sample of those calls.
1:39 a.m.: A parked truck was hit by a car, and the driver drove away on the 500 block of Hintz Avenue.
9:39 a.m.: A caller on the 400 block of West Larch Road said someone was using his credit information and trying to purchase $9,000 worth of items. Police are investigating.
9:46 a.m.: A van was broken into on the 800 block of West Grant Line Road.
11:54 a.m.: Four storage units were broken into at Public Storage, 400 W. Larch Road.
1:52 p.m.: A caller said 50 bicyclists were crossing Central Avenue on the 700 block, and one of them was directing traffic.
4:19 p.m.: Police arrested a 26-year-old man for being intoxicated in public on the 800 block of Mount Diablo Court. He was reportedly carrying a large bottle of alcohol and causing problems with neighbors in the area.
4:44 p.m.: Police arrested a 34-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on drug-related charges at Motel 6, 3810 N. Tracy Blvd.
5:57 p.m.: A bird flew into a window on the 1400 block of Greenwillow Way. The homeowner said the bird was still alive.
7:52 p.m.: A woman called to say she couldn’t find her 4-year-old niece on the 1700 block of Tahoe Circle. The woman said she checked the house and nearby park. Residents assisted in the search. The child was found at 8 p.m. sleeping behind the TV set.
2:07 a.m.: Police arrested a 23-year-old man for drunken driving following a traffic stop near Central Avenue and Tracy Boulevard.
8:34 a.m.: A chicken was seen in the roadway near 11th Street and Alden Glen Drive causing a traffic hazard. Police were unable to find the chicken.
10:52 a.m.: A doughnut shop owner called to report someone selling doughnuts from a table outside Fresh Donuts, 1274 W. 11th St. The table was reportedly in the parking lot. Police checked and found they were doing a football fundraiser.
11:31 a.m.: Pizza workers and a maintenance worker at Granville Apartments, 900 W. Grant Line Road, got into an argument over the pizza workers leaving fliers on the property. The employer of the maintenance worker said the pizza workers threatened to beat his employee up, but he didn’t want to press charges
12:38 p.m.: Tracy police were called to Kimball High School, 3200 Jaguar Run, for a man wanted for an outstanding warrant. Tracy police were asked to pick him up, and the unidentified police agency with the warrant was going to come and get him. Police detained the man.
1:11 p.m.: A juvenile was seen getting out of a car, writing on a pole in yellow chalk and leaving the area on the 2400 block of Naglee Road. Police found no damage was done to the pole.
1:42 p.m.: A man called to say a friend told him the Great Plate at 714 N. Central Ave. had nude strippers at the restaurant. Police tried to confirm the information, and the man said he saw it on a website and thought it was the Great Plate.
3:06 p.m.: A clerk at Rite Aid, 1870 W. Grant Line Road, reported two juveniles shoplifting alcohol. They were seen leaving in an SUV.
3:16 p.m.: Police arrested a 35-year-old man for soliciting outside Save Mart, 875 S. Tracy Blvd., and urinating on the wall.
5:50 p.m.: A man said he purchased a motorcycle from a man in a trailer park near West and 11th streets, and he said none of the vehicle information matched. He said he went back to talk to the man and people there told him he was in jail.
9:34 p.m.: A man was seen urinating outside Pete’s Liquors, 202 W. 11th St.
1:30 a.m.: Employees at Exxon, 155 S. Tracy Blvd., said a white man in his early 20s was harassing staff and took coffee and doughnuts. The man threw money at them and left the property driving a white Honda two-door. The store reportedly lost 48 cents of merchandise. Police canceled the case.
1:43 a.m.: An undisclosed number of males in two cars — a black Nissan SUV and a gray Honda two-door — were allegedly racing in the parking lot of Safeway, 1801 W. 11th St. Police located the vehicles, and the men complied with police orders to go home.
7:50 a.m.: All four tires were reported stolen off a truck on the 1300 block of Montgomery Lane.
8:40 a.m.: An older white male riding a bicycle was seen going through trash bins near Dronero Way and Lincoln Boulevard. Police couldn’t locate the person upon arrival.
8:44 a.m.: Police arrested an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old who were allegedly seen by a plainclothes officer stealing items from a vehicle at the Park and Ride, 2650 Naglee Road. The officer witnessed the men take a speaker box and put it into the trunk of a red Chevy Impala. The two were held at gunpoint during a traffic stop shortly after leaving the parking lot.
1:10 p.m.: Police arrested a 51-year-old man on the 200 block of West 11th Street on suspicion of threatening his ex-girlfriend while she was at work. The man allegedly told the woman he was going to blow up her vehicle.
4:27 p.m.: Animal control took custody of an injured owl on the 700 block of Traditions Court.
6:16 p.m.: A male was confronted by police for trying to sell steaks in a neighborhood near Antonio Loop and Cathleen Lane. The man told police he needed the money because he had no money for gas. Police advised him that he can’t sell anything in Tracy without a business license.
