A resident at the Stone Pine Apartments, 233 W. Grant Line Road, at 1:46 p.m. Thursday, June 28, said a neighbor was trying to get her husband involved in credit card fraud and other underhanded schemes, and that the neighbor had a lot of high-end electronic equipment and sold gift cards. But the caller didn’t want police at her home, and told police she’d call back later.

Tracy police received 141 calls for service Thursday, June 28. The following is a sample of those calls.

1:48 a.m.: An arrest was made near the Hacienda Motel, 639 W. 11th St., when police allegedly found a man on parole in possession of drugs.

6:31 a.m.: Three men allegedly jumped over the back fence of a home on the 2200 block of Ogden Sannazor Drive, and then entered a garage on the property. Police contacted the owner of the garage and adjacent house, and the owner said the people had permission to be there.

10:24 a.m.: Several teens on the Kimball High football field at 3200 Jaguar Run were warned that they needed a permit to use the facility for training.

11:32 a.m.: Someone tried to wrongly cash a check in a woman’s name at CA Check Cashing, 3309 N. Tracy Blvd.

12:51 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a fight on the 200 block of N. West St. and found one of two women allegedly involved bleeding from the face. No arrest was immediately made, but police did take a report.

4:07 p.m.: A 17-year-old was struck by a Nissan Maxima on the 1000 block of Meadow Lark Lane, and the driver sped away. Police took a report.

6:30 p.m.: Police talked to a child and found nothing wrong after employees at Sonic Drive-In, 3080 Naglee Road, reported a man in an SUV might have been inappropriately touching the kid. It turned out the man was the child’s stepfather and was supposed to be watching out for the child.

7:59 p.m.: Large, illegal fireworks were reported in the sky above the 100 block of North West Street.

9:48 p.m.: Police couldn’t locate several people allegedly throwing firecrackers over the fence of a residence on the 1400 block of Holly Drive.

9:58 p.m.: A man identified as a possible gang member by police was arrested on a warrant on the first block of East Beverly Place. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
