He was reportedly wearing cutoff overalls and one shoe. A store employee told police the man had likely passed out drunk behind a Dumpster. Police located the man and took him to an undisclosed location.
Tracy police received 149 calls for service Monday, July 16. The following is a sample of those calls.
1:03 a.m.: Three people in a black 1990s Toyota Camry followed the caller to his home on the 200 block of West Carlton Way. The caller canceled his complaint, because his friends were in the vehicle that was following him.
3:05 a.m.: An older four-door Honda occupied by two unidentified people was reported driving around the parking lot of Kimball High School, 3200 Jaguar Run. Police provided an extra patrol on the school because it was thought that the two people inside the car could try and steal cooper wire from a light post on the property.
6:14 a.m.: A welfare check was performed by police for a woman who was sitting in the dirt in the front yard of a residence on the 100 block of Eaton Avenue. The homeowner believed the woman was homeless and said that she was concerned because homeless persons loiter in her yard. Police helped the woman leave and cleared the scene.
11:02 a.m.: Police arrested a 20-year-old man during a traffic stop in the area of Corral Hollow Road and Golden Leaf Lane for an outstanding warrant for burglary. The man was taken to San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp, where he was held on a $50,000 bail, according to the sheriff’s website.
2:54 p.m.: Animal control officers responded to Orchard Supply Warehouse, 2650 W. MacArthur Drive, to pick up a dead cat that was in the business’ driveway.
4:32 p.m.: Police were unable to locate five teenage males who were reportedly inside the property fence of Traina School, 4256 Windsong Drive.
5:18 p.m.: Three men were allegedly seen fighting with a fourth man in front of Grocery Outlet, 825 W. 11th St. No weapons were reported during the fight. Police located the victim, but were unable to find the three alleged attackers. No further details were available.
7:20 p.m.: A 4-year-old girl was separated from her family while at Veterans Park, 238 Glenhaven Drive. Police located the girl’s father, who was at the park with his other children, as well.
