Tracy police received 192 calls for service Monday, Sept. 17. The following is a sample of those calls.
1:47 a.m.: Police arrested a 49-year-old man for domestic violence in central Tracy after a woman called to report her husband hit her in the face.
5:30 a.m.: A flatbed truck was reported stolen on the 2900 block of Ponte Mira Way.
5:58 a.m.: A 1999 Toyota Prerunner pickup was reported stolen on the 2900 block of Fairfield Drive.
8:03 a.m.: A man told police a dog broke out of a yard and attacked his dog while he was walking on the 200 block of Frank Brown Drive. He said his dog was injured and he was going to take it to the veterinarian. Animal control officers impounded the attacking dog.
8:21 a.m.: A woman said there was a rattlesnake inside her business on the 500 block of Lammers Road. Animal control officers impounded the snake.
10:00 a.m.: A caller at Van’s ACE Hardware, 2695 N. Tracy Blvd., said someone stole a 14-foot U-Haul pickup.
11:58 a.m.: Police issued a citation to a pit bull owner after the dog was seen running around the area of Thelma Loop and Milton Jenson Court, chasing people. A man said the dog chased his wife, while another woman said it attacked her and her baby at Ormonde Street and Gentry Lane. The dog was returned to its home.
12:11 p.m.: A woman reported a baby possum inside her bathtub on the 800 block of West Clover Road.
1 p.m.: Police found a car that had been broken into at the Park and Ride, 2650 Naglee Road.
2:04 p.m.: A caller reported his 1997 Chevy Tahoe was stolen from the parking lot of Target, 2800 Naglee Road. He said he saw it going toward the freeway.
2:31 p.m.: A 10-year-old girl told school officials that a man tried to expose himself near Central Avenue and Ferdinand Street. She said the man approached her and tried to pull his pants down. Police are investigating.
4:58 p.m.: A woman returned home on the 2800 block of North Tracy Boulevard and found her house had been broken into and her safe missing.
7 p.m.: A caller reported a home burglary on the 100 block of Portola Way. The owner said the theft happened two days ago.
9:39 p.m.: A caller returned home from a trip and found her house on the 100 block of James Court had been broken into.
9:46 p.m.: Police arrested a 39-year-old man for several outstanding warrants for drug possession, burglary and petty theft with prior convictions following a pedestrian stop near Grant Line Road and Tracy Boulevard. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
11:15 p.m.: Police arrested a 38-year-old man for domestic violence in northern Tracy. The arrest occurred after a woman told police her boyfriend grabbed her by the hair and threw her on the bed.
