Cheddar, a 2-year-old male domestic shorthair, is at the Tracy Animal Shelter and needs a home. The shelter, 370 Arbor Road, is open from noon to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For information: 831-6364 or “City of Tracy Animal Services” on Facebook.

Aries, a 1-year-old female, is a happy cat and likes spending time on people’s laps. Her five kittens have all been adopted, and she is looking for a home of her own. Aries has been spayed, vaccinated and dewormed and has an identification microchip. Pre-approval is required for cat adoptions through East of Eden, a nonprofit animal rescue organization. To learn more, contact Sheri Savage at eoerescue@yahoo.com or 925-980-3035. Volunteers are at Petco, 2888 Grant Line Road, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays. For information: www.eoerescue.org/joomla/index.php/adoptions.

Daisy needs a new home by May 1, as her foster family is moving out of the area. She is affectionate, patient and eager to please. Daisy especially likes to ride in the car with her head out the window. She should go to a home where she is the only pet. She is house trained, physically fit, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays in the Macy’s wing of the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. During kitten season, Animal Rescue of Tracy recommends not moving or touching any litter of kittens, as the mother will likely return soon, after finding food. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org
