A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday for Mark Anthony Robles, 24, of Tracy, who died Oct. 23 in an automobile accident in San Jose.

Born Dec. 17, 1984, in Glendale, Mr. Robles graduated from San Jose State University in May with a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing. He worked as a waiter for Chili’s and Dave & Busters restaurants the past four years while living in Tracy, San Jose and Antioch.

Mr. Robles was known to his family and friends as “the philosopher.” A rapper, he loved music and recorded a number of songs with a cousin and friends. As founder of P-Star Records, he went by the name Executive Robe.

According to relatives, he was an optimistic person who kept a positive attitude no matter what happened. He had a big heart, they said, and would give food to homeless people or help out a cousin in trouble.

Mr. Robles is survived by his father, Francisco G. Robles of Carson; mother, Brenda M. Cardona of Antioch; three siblings, Francisco Jason Robles, Hector Keanu Venegas and Kalyn Mae Venegas, all of Antioch; grandparents, Michael Albayrak of Newman, Elena Garcia of Los Angeles and Harold J. Cardona of San Jose; and many other family members, including aunt Marleen Ramirez of Tracy, with whom he lived for several years.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Carlos A. Robles and Josephine Albayrak.

Tuesday’s Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Burial will follow in Tracy Cemetery, 600 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave, followed by the recital of a rosary at 7 p.m.
