Two local library branches will have later night hours on Mondays after Wednesday, Aug. 1.

The Tracy branch will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., while the Mountain House branch will open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to a press release from the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library, which oversees the two branches and 10 others in the county.

The hours are not additional — rather, times have been shifted to allow for the extended night hours.

At the Tracy branch, at 20 E. Eaton Ave., one hour in the mornings was slashed on Saturdays to make way for the change. It will now be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.

The Mountain House branch, at 579 Wicklund Crossing, shifted its five-hour schedule on Mondays from morning to evening.

For new hours at the county’s other 10 branches, go online to www.stockton.lib.ca.us.
