Mr. Walker was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Gravity, Iowa, and had lived in Tracy since 1976. He worked as a warehouse supervisor at the Tracy defense depot.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 63 years, Dorothy Walker of Tracy; three children, Craig Walker, and his wife, Janie, of Manteca, Sandy Cunningham of Tracy, and her fiancé, Brian Hodge, of Redlands and Cathy Gehring, and her husband, Lee, of Tracy; mother-in-law, Ruby Crone; sister-in-law, Gloria Goebel; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Clyde and Grace Walker; and eight siblings.
Saturday’s memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 1935 Holly Drive. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Walker’s name may be sent First Baptist Church, 1935 Holly Drive, Tracy, CA 95376; or to a hospice organization or charity of the donor’s choice.
