According to court documents, a jury found Armando Hernandez, 21, Martin Flores, 22, and Roberto Arias, 20, guilty on several criminal counts for the fatal shooting of Spencer Sampson.
It was reported that Sampson was walking home from visiting a friend with his sister and another friend along East Street on Dec. 18, 2009, when he was fatally shot.
A witness testified during the trial that four men passing by in a car stopped and confronted the group. After Sampson and those he was with were questioned regarding a possible gang affiliation, a fistfight ensued and Sampson was shot once in the chest. He died a short time later.
Court documents show that during deliberations, the jury had sent a couple of notes to Judge Bernard Garber regarding evidence in the case and requested some of the exhibits before jurors continued deliberating. Several hours later, the jury came back with a guilty verdict for all the defendants.
All three men were found guilty of murder with enhancements that included intentional discharge of a firearm and street terrorism. A sentencing hearing for all three men has been set for April 25 in Department 23 at 10 a.m. in Stockton Superior Court.
Sampson, a former Tracy High School student, is survived by his wife, Angie, and their toddler son James.

Nothang wrong with that but surely ya understand that th majority of what ya find in th Holy Scriptures is intentionally directed ta ya personally by God an not th rest of th world. Yep, fer certain, His message needs ta go ta th world but th application of that message is personal, a transaction between you an God an no one else.
Ya wrote, "Do not judge people that you do not know." Actually I believe if ya look at that particular instruction in th Bible ya will find that yer not supposed ta judge anyone. It's not within yer authority or anyone on earth's authority ta do so. That authority rests with God an unfortunately most English speakin peoples, an probably a lot of th rest of th world, don't even understand what is meant by judge and judgement in scripture, which probably explains why so many people thank they gotta right ta judge others.
As a partin comment ta ya, while I understand yer meaning, when ya castigate others about rights, bein judgmental an airin their gripes about it, ya just might wanna run that judgmental-ism thang through yer own mind once just ta ensure yer not doin ta others as ya perceive they are doin ta ya or someone else.
I offer this advice as I have been guilty of judgin others when I have no authority ta do so.
So, in yer own words, "Have some respect for yourself and show some pride in who you are and keep all the negative thoughts to yourself."
But ya may wanna be careful ta that self pride cus apparently that can also be a slippery slope ta traverse.
I'm glad to see the verdict...I was wondering. A big part of me wanted to sit the case, but since I live quite close to the crime...and since all I could see was 2 guilty scumbags (it was one trial but there were 2 different trials involved)...I knew it wouldn't happen even if I couldn't be excused for financial hardship. This case started in early January...I'd be in the poorhouse by now!
Good job legal system...now let's sentence them with an appropriate timeframe and get them out of the way.
