Kim shot 74 on the par-73 course at the event hosted by Hilmar High at Stevinson Ranch Golf Course in Stevinson.
Her one-over-par put her well ahead of Emaline Ellsworth of Bret Harte High, who shot 82. Kim’s score led the Bulldogs to a second-place finish in the 12-team tournament, with West Campus of Sacramento placing first with a team score of 370. Tracy was right behind with a 376.
Other scores for Tracy included Shelby Devlin, who shot 95; Kirsten Bas, who carded a 100; Annie Fox, who shot 107; and Alee Balanon, who finished with a 111.
Tracy 255, Bear Creek 291
Tracy moved to 4-3 in the San Joaquin Athletic Association with a 255-291 win over Bear Creek on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Old River Golf Course.
Kirsten Bas led the Bulldogs with a score of 46 on the par-36 course. Annie Fox shot 49, Alee Balanon shot 52, Rachel Haro shot 53, Amanda Vasquez shot 55, and Serena Sanchez shot 60.
Stagg 298, West 326
West’s golfers finished the first half of the Tri-City Athletic League season with a 298-326 loss to Stagg on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Swenson Park Golf Course in Stockton.
The loss puts West at 2-3 in the TCAL.
Ashley Gonzales led the Wolf Pack with a score of 59 on the par-38 course. Also for West, Ashley Aguilera shot 62, Bobbi Loggins carded a 64, Samantha McCain posted a 68 and Vanessa Nunez shot 73.
Tracy 247, Franklin 294
Tracy High’s golfers started the second round of San Joaquin Athletic Association play with a win Tuesday, Sept. 25, against Franklin High at Old River Golf course.
Jennifer Kim led her squad with a score of 40 on the par-36 course, while Annie Fox posted a 47 and Rachel Haro finished with a 48. Amanda Vasquez shot 55, Serena Sanchez shot 59 and Peyton Davis shot 66 to round out the Bulldogs’ scores.
Kimball 280, Sierra 289
Kimball High’s golfers moved to 7-2 in the Valley Oak League with a win over Sierra High on Monday, Sept. 24, at Manteca Park Golf Course.
Lydia Nolen led her team with a score of 47 on the par-37 course. The other scores for Kimball included a 48 from Taylor Honnoll, Maya Crooms’ 57, a 59 from Savannah Dunniway, a 69 from Juliana Goulding and Patricia Fabila’s 75.
Kimball vs. Oakdale
Kimball High’s golf team logged its best team score of the season to date — 225 — in a win Sept. 20 over Oakdale at Old River Golf Course.
Oakdale did not have the five players needed to carry a team score, so Kimball won the match by default.
The top golfer for Kimball was senior Lydia Nolen, who shot 41 on the par-36 course. Also for the Jaguars, Lilly Craig shot 43, Taylor Honnoll shot 45, Maya Crooms shot 46, Savannah Dunniway shot 50 and Angela Peyton shot 67.
West vs. Tokay
West High’s golfers took a loss to Tokay on Sept. 19 at Old River Golf Course.
West did not have a full five-player team and lost by default. Tokay shot a 279.
West’s Ashley Aguilera scored 49 on the par-36 course, while Ashley Gonzales shot 53, Bobbi Loggins carded a 58 and Samantha McCain finished with a 59.
