Two horsemen, a matador and two teams of bull-grabbers will face bulls in the annual bloodless bullfights Friday, June 7, to conclude this year’s IPFES Holy Ghost festa.

Festa activities took place Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2, over a warm weekend, and the bullfights traditionally follow on the next Friday night.

The Grande Corrida de Toiros action begins at 8 p.m. in the Campo Pequeno bullring behind the Portuguese Hall on the IPFES grounds at 340 W. Ninth Street.

Mounted cavaleiros will be Albert Conde and Jorge Hernandez Garate. The matador is Fernando Labastida. Bull-grabber teams will come from Turlock and Merced.

Tickets, available at the gate, are $25 each. Refreshments, including linguiça sandwiches, will be served.
