Fireworks lit up the night sky over Wayne Schneider Stadium as the July Fourth celebration came to a close.

The fireworks show put on by the Tracy Chamber of Commerce fired off shortly before 99:30 p.m. Thunderous booms and flashes dazzled the crowd as the fire fireworks burst overhead.

Spectators watched from any vantage point they could near Tracy High as they watched the pyrotechnics being launched form the old Heinz plant burst overhead.

The fireworks display was one of many events to help celebrate Independence Day. Festivities kicked off at Lincoln Park early Monday morning with a balloon launch and pancake breakfast followed by the July Fourth parade. A day in the park continued the fun with a day of food vendors, musical entertainment and rides for children.
