Lauren Knapp, a Tracy native, is engaged to marry Kyle Torska on June 15, 2013, at Brookside Country Club in Stockton.

Kyle proposed to Lauren on Nov. 25, 2011, during an evening visit to the Phoenix Zoo’s ZooLights Christmas display with both their families. Dropping to one knee to take out his camera and photograph the twinkling lights around the lake, he instead pulled out a ring box and popped the question.

The couple lives in Duluth, Ga., where Lauren is a manager at Lanier Parking Solutions and Kyle is a manager at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Mike and Patty Knapp of Tracy, graduated from Tracy High School in 2009 and earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Northern Arizona University in 2012. She is the sister of Aaron and Jordan Knapp of Tracy and granddaughter of Robert Knapp of Tracy and Pam and Gary Dennis of Sparks, Nev.

The groom-to-be, son of Holly and Dave Torska of Gilbert, Ariz., graduated in 2007 from Mesquite High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management in 2011 from Northern Arizona University. He is the brother of Matt Torska of Gilbert and grandson of Maryann and Joe Poster of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Anna Margaret Torska of Gilbert.
