They became engaged Jan. 18 after spending the day in Monterey. While walking on the beach by moonlight, they climbed a rock for a better ocean view, and as Demetrio helped Ludim down, he dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him.
The bride-to-be, daughter of Leticia Jaquez-Robles and Susano H. Jaquez of Manteca, lived in Tracy from 1990 to 2005 and is a 2002 graduate of West High School. She earned her medical assistant certification from Western Career College, and she is majoring in molecular and microbial biology at California State University, Stanislaus.
Ludim has two siblings, Erick Jaquez-Robles and Yovany Jaquez, both of Manteca, and is granddaughter to Esperanza and Jose Robles of Tracy and Zenaida and Guadalupe Jaquez of Zacatecas, Mexico.
The groom-to-be, son of Christina and Francisco Cordero Sr. of Tracy, was born and raised in Tracy and is a 2000 graduate of Tracy High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a teaching credential from California State University, Stanislaus, and works as a high school art teacher. He is also working on a Master of Fine Arts degree at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Demetrio has five siblings, Cecilia Garcia, Francisco Cordero Jr., Elida Cordero, Mark Cordero and Angelique Nunez, all of Tracy. He is grandson to the late Elida and Isidoro Hernandez and the late Elissa and Francisco Cordero.
Ludim’s maid of honor is Lisette Robles, and Demetrio’s best man is Mark Cordero. The flower girl is Demetriana Nunez, and the ring bearer is Ulysses Garcia.
After the wedding ceremony at St. Bernard’s, a reception will be held at the Memorial Auditorium & Solarium in Micke Grove Regional Park.
The couple will make their home together in Tracy.
