This little dog, a young female, is a loving lap dog, according to East of Eden rescue volunteers. Echinacea, nicknamed Eka, loves being around other dogs and especially enjoys playing with cats. She is being housetrained and trained to use a crate. East of Eden is a nonprofit animal rescue organization. Its volunteers are at Petco, 2888 Grant Line Road, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays. For information, call 815-5186 or view cats’ and dogs’ profiles at www.eoerescue.org.
