Walter Buntin, 70, of Elk Grove, a Tracy resident from 2006 to 2012, died Monday in Elk Grove. Memorial services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Southwinds Church, 13400 W. Middle Road. Contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children Research Hospital in Mr. Buntin’s name, Tribute No. 35910313, at P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.

Julia Ann (Herman) Sturtevant, 56, a Tracy resident for 27 years, died early Sunday at her home after a nine-month battle with cancer. A public memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Tracy, 101 Berverdor Ave. After the service, a gathering will be held in Grant Hall. Contributions in Mrs. Sturtevant’s name, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church of Tracy, 101 Berverdor Ave., Tracy, CA 95376.

Gerald James Boeve, 93, a 70-year Tracy resident, died April 23 at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Tracy, 101 Berverdor Ave. Burial will be private in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements.

Craig Lighty, 75, of Tracy, died April 16 in Willows. A memorial celebration will begin at 3:30 p.m. May 10 at the Lighty home. Contributions in Mr. Lighty's name may be sent to the ValleyCare Charitable Foundation, 1111 E. Stanley Blvd., in Livermore.

Susan Taylor Lent, 71, a Tracy native and Tracy High School graduate, died April 13 in Antioch. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road.

Donald A. Cooper, 55, a former employee at Tracy’s H.J. Heinz Co. factory, died of cancer April 1 in Hughson. Services will begin at 2:30 p.m. May 16 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road, in Santa Nella. Eaton Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Modesto, www.eatonfamilyfuneral.com, is handling arrangements.
