The city of Tracy has announced the first two artists for the 2014-15 Presenting Season at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts — Peabo Bryson and Joe Nichols.

Bryson performs at 8 p.m. Aug. 23, offering a mix of pop and soul, including renditions of his more popular songs: “What You Won’t Do for Love,” a duet originally sung with Natalie Cole, and “If You’re Ever in My Arms Again.”

Country singer Nichols will perform Sept. 20 and has songs including “Gimmie That Girl” and “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.”

The Grand Foundation — the public nonprofit that helps fund performances and arts education — will have an Advanced Ticket Purchase Party at 5 p.m. July 24 at the Grand, where people can sign up for a membership and purchase advanced tickets to the performances. The foundation is also giving away four tickets to the Peabo Bryson concert, including a meeting with the singer, or two tickets to Joe Nichols’ concert, including a meeting with the country artist.

The city will reveal more of the season as the year goes on.
