Astoria Gardens, the senior living facility specializing in memory loss, will help residents and guests recall their high school days Sept. 9.

What organizers are calling a Tracy High School Reunion Celebration will bring Tracy High cheerleaders, former teachers and coaches and alumni to the facility for the event, which is for THS graduating classes beginning in 1938.

The event begins at 2 p.m. and continues to 5 p.m., reported Cindy Salentine, a member of the Astoria Gardens staff.

“We want people taking part to share memories, photos, yearbooks and stories,” she said.

Live music will be provided by the swing band In the Mood, and swing dancers will be on the dance floor. Food from La Vita Dolce and Tracy High memorabilia provided by the school’s leadership group and Rusty’s Pizza will help create the reunion atmosphere, she reported.

“The public is invited,” Salentine said. “This should be something special.”

Astoria Gardens is at 1960 W. Lowell Ave., at Corral Hollow Road.
