Candidates to speak to Republican Women

Tracy Republican Women Federated will host two candidates for Tracy City Council, Charles "Charlie" Manne and Roger Birdsall, during their luncheon meeting Thursday, Sept. 27.

Guests are welcome to attend the luncheon, which begins at noon, preceded by a half-hour of mingling. Lunch cost is $11.

The group meets at Four Corners Restaurant, 7509 W. Linne Road.



Rotary ready to serve some crab

Tickets have gone on sale for Tracy Rotary Club’s annual crab feed, which is scheduled for Oct. 27, a Saturday, at the Portuguese Hall, 430 W. Ninth St.

The evening will begin with a 5:30 p.m. social hour followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will include Dungeness crab, pasta, salad, French bread and wine.

Silent and live auctions will be held.

Tickets, $40 each, can be purchased from Tracy Rotary Club members or by calling Dave Tillman at 275-0229. All proceeds will go for college scholarships for graduating seniors of Tracy area high schools.



New place for legion auxiliary meeting

Members of the James McDermott Unit 172 of the American Legion Auxiliary will meet at noon Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Manny’s Kitchen, 834 W. 11th St.
