Musicians of all ages, from middle school students to retirees, are invited to join the Tracy Community Band as it begins practicing for its 2012-13 season next week.
Directed by Scott Lycan, the group plays a variety of concert band music and performs several times during the year.
Players of all instruments are wanted.
The community band practices from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays in the band room at Kimball High School, 3200 Jaguar Run, off Lammers Road.
The first meeting is Monday, Sept. 10.

Camera club meeting rescheduled
Because of a high-profile concert planned for next week at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, the Tracy Camera Club will gather Thursday, Sept. 13, for its monthly meeting.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on the second floor at 715 Central Ave.
The usual meeting time has been changed because shows by Willie Nelson & Family are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, and Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Grand.
In October, Tracy Camera Club will return to meeting the second Wednesday of each month.
