Services will be Friday, June 14, for Charles L. Croxton, 78, a Tracy native, who died May 18 in a hospital in Fairfax, Va.

Mr. Croxton was born Oct. 17, 1934, in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School in 1952. He retired from the Office of the Inspector General in Washington, D.C., after many years of government service.

Survivors include his companion of 37 years, Elizabeth Dawn Thompson of Virginia; Ms. Thompson’s son, Russell Thompson, and his wife, Monika, and their family; a sister, Melba Smith, and her husband, Edward, of Tracy; a niece; two aunts; and many cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Juanita Croxton; and a nephew.

A remembrance and burial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Tracy Cemetery, 501 W. Schulte Road. An online guest book can be signed at
