LMLM, McDonalds nor any other fast food place is responsible for the obesity epidemic in this country. Anyone who's obese or generally out of shape has only one person to blame, the person can be found by looking in the mirror.
I don't mean to offend anyone and this is not directed at you, but it sure seems most of the people who complain about places like McDonalds are overweight or have kids who are overweight. The ones complaining about the obesity problem are the ones like me who bust their backsides to stay in shape by working out and eating right. Now thanks to Obama the out of shape people who put the most strain on the healthcare & health insurance industry are going to get a free ride on the backs of us who put in the work to not be a strain on the system.
By the way, I love double quarter pounders with cheese and EL Fudge cookies, however, I only indulge occasionally. As with the gun debate currently going on, it all comes back to we the people. It's not guns, it's not McDonalds, it's we the people who are the problem. Unfortunately no politician has the guts to say it.
"Anyone who's obese or generally out of shape has only one person to blame, the person can be found by looking in the mirror."
Not EVERYONE who is obese is a lazy over eater. For some people (like me) it's health related and not something easily controlled. It really makes me mad that people might look at me and think "oh she's so lazy and I bet she sits around and stuffs her face with food all day." That couldn't be more untrue. I have 3 kids, I'm on the go constantly and I don't over eat. Just needed to clear that up.....
Make the best of it or be prepared to put some miles on your vehicle.
Trader Joes doesn't like something about the demographics in Tracy. Don't see that happening here sorry to say.
A trader joes would be ok. Not sure if I would shop there or not but plenty of folks seem to want one. I did shop in one in San Jose once but dont really see why some folks seem to be obsessed with it. Any supermarket has a much wider selection of groceries at similar prices.
This place will not last 2 years. Tracyites don't have the money or taste for yogurt found outside baskin robins or where ever.
Welcome to chain-restaurant redneck ville. Where we have like 5 mcdonald's.
I am trying to understand this claim I keep seeing that there isnt any place in town to spend money. My wife and kids and I have been here 8 years and have never needed to go out of town to buy anything. We have numerous stores that sell clothing and shoes; Penny's, Macys, Target, Walmart, Costco, Oshkosh and Levi outlets, limited, pacsun, rue21 among others. Those would seem to meet anyone's needs. The list includes some aimed at teens, some for the economically challenged, those for your typical adult (Penny's), one for the rich folks (Macy's). How many more, or what more, is needed?
The plethora of chain restaurants is amazing for a small town and I dont see how they are supported by a small population like ours but I guess someone must be going there. I go to a fast food place maybe once a year and I guess I assume most folks are similar.
