Services were conducted this week for Arlene M. Aguilar, 76, a longtime Tracy resident, who died Oct. 23 at Tracy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on April 29, 1937, Mrs. Aguilar was a native of Chicago and had lived in Tracy nearly 40 years.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Joe Aguilar of Tracy; five children, Joanne Aguilar Shugart of Sutter Creek, Joseph Aguilar of Pocatello, Idaho, Jesse Aguilar of Tracy and James Aguilar and Jeff Aguilar, both of Valley Springs; two sisters, Merry Felix of Sonoma and Marcy Hamm of Springfield, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Her parents, Lorraine Dempsey and Harry Mendo, preceded her in death.

A Mass was celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 29, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., handled arrangements, and an online guest book can be viewed at www.frymemorialchapel.com.
