A family's memory of their son's first football game ends on a slight speed "bump."
EDITOR, My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of attending the season opener of Friday night football at Tracy High on Sept. 19. What made the night so special for us is that our son played in his first football game. The high of our night came crashing down when we returned to our car after the victory. Some thoughtless driver did a very nice hit-and-run on my vehicle and chose to speed off, without leaving a note. Now I have the paint left behind, an insurance deductable and a rental car. The hit-and-run driver did not ruin the memory of my son’s performance, but I sure hope he’s looking over his shoulder (the next time he backs up), because I know what his memories are of that night.
