A 47-year-old Tracy man lost control of his Harley Davidson and died when he was thrown from his bike on a road between Dublin and Danville early this morning.
A 47-year-old Tracy man died at 1:55 a.m. Friday in a
motorcycle accident between Dublin and Danville.
A news report identified the man as David James, who was heading
south on Camino Tassajara when he lost control of 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle,
said CHP spokesman Steve Creel said.
The CHP says James spun out when he tried to take a 40-mph
turn at 65 mph. James hit a pole and a well pump before being thrown into a
metal building after he was thrown from his bike, which came to a stop at a
barbed-wire fence. James was pronounced dead on the scene.
A driver heading north on the road moments after the crash
saw a cloud of dust and the bike leaning against the fence and pulled over and
called 9-1-1, Creel said.
Creel said investigators will call his relatives, friends
and coworkers to try to figure out where James was going when the accident
occurred.
