Twelve classrooms in the first floor of the new building at Tracy High open for the first time today, while workers continue preparing the second story and its 21 classrooms for a planned opening by the end of October.

I have heard that they are putting the admin offices in the downstairs of the new building. Wasn't the building supposed to be for classrooms ONLY? How did the district do this after we voted the bond in that was for classrooms only?

I suspect that change has a lot to do with the new plan to demolish the center of campus (including the administration buildings) and rebuild new classroom space there. Admin has to go somewhere in the meanwhile, no?

How exciting to finally have the new building up and open! I can only imagine how it must change the energy on campus from when I was a student there ...
