Twelve classrooms in the first floor of the new building at Tracy High open for the first time today, while workers continue preparing the second story and its 21 classrooms for a planned opening by the end of October. Construction crews make some final adjustments to the new classroom building at Tracy High School on Tuesday. Tracy High pre-algebra teacher Geanette Tober readies her new classroom for students. Tracy High staff stroll through the halls as they get their first look inside the mission revival-style structure. Work continues on the facade of the building, constructed in the same style as the early 20th-century West Building that stood before it. Desks await the first batch of students to use the new classroom building at Tracy High. Wasn't the building supposed to be for classrooms ONLY? How did the district do this after we voted the bond in that was for classrooms only? ... written by msmith , August 15, 2008 I suspect that change has a lot to do with the new plan to demolish the center of campus (including the administration buildings) and rebuild new classroom space there. Admin has to go somewhere in the meanwhile, no? How exciting to finally have the new building up and open!
