Police released a photo of a Javier Jimenez of Tracy, who's wanted for questioning in a stabbing that killed a San Jose man at Lost Isle earlier this month.

San Joaquin County Sheriff’s investigators released the photo of a Tracy man who’s wanted for questioning in the wake of an Aug. 2 murder on a Delta island.

The sheriff’s office reported that 29-year-old Joseph Cisneros of San Jose was stabbed to death and another man, 23-year-old Ernest Ochoa, also of San Jose, is in stable but critical condition after a fight at Lost Isle earlier this month.

Investigators are still trying to find 31-year-old Javier Jimenez of Tracy, who apparently jumped from a boat to evade the sheriff’s boating patrol right after the stabbing.

Investigators ask anyone with information about Jimenez to call 468-4425, or call Tracy Crime Stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous at 831-4847‎.

Little lost here, not trying to "rock the boat".... but did he stab someone in the boat? Or was he in the boat when he stabbed someone? Not sure where the stabbing took place?

So sad to see a life robbed by the end of a knife.
Condolence to the family.

mythoughts,

That's a good one! No, actually height, weight, scars, tattoos etc. It makes it a little easier when you know what you are looking for.

amy,

I think the stabbing took place at the bar located on the isle. Don't quote me but I think I read that in the paper.

From his photo, he doesn't look that dangerous to me. Just another chubby guy with a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

Mythoughts-If there is a murderer running around on the loose that the police want to apprehend, it would be helpful to know his height, build, tattoos, birth marks etc.

ie. is he 4'10" , 250 lbs. and bald now w/a scar on his neck or 6'3" 180 lbs w/a buzz cut now and a dragon tattooed to his forehead? Makes a difference.

I am not sure this guy is a "murderer." Yeah, sure, it sounds like he killed someone, but maybe he had a good excuse? It sounds like, at any given time, pretty much everybody in that bar is doing something that would justify a self-defense killing.

Bar Fann-so why run?

Barr Fann,

This guy should know that law enforcement is looking for him. It would be better to turn himself in than to run and hide. At this time he's considered armed and dangerous so if it's spotted by police he'll be taken at gun-point. It would be to his benefit to turn himself in, with an attorney present, than to run. This will give him a chance to explain his actions while protecting himself and others around him.

Altercation was earlier in the afternoon. Joey thought it was over. He went to the restroom alone. He was attacked in the restroom. Attack continued as he left the restroom. he was stabbed over and over inside and as he left. There was no self defense.

Sounds like self defense wasn't in the picture, according to Sad.

Sorry to hear about your friend Joe.
