Motorcyclist in fatal Highway 580 crash identified.

A 32-year-old Tracy man died after striking two vehicles while riding his motorcycle on Interstate Highway 580 in Oakland Friday, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.

Allan Jumadiao Deluta was speeding and merging in and out of lanes on westbound Highway 580 just west of Edwards Avenue when he struck the rear bumper of a black BMW shortly after 8 a.m., a coroner's deputy said.

Deluta then reportedly collided with a red Toyota Highlander and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Deluta was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The No. 1 and 2 westbound lanes were blocked while authorities responded to the accident, snarling traffic during the Bay Area's morning commute.

So sorry to hear this happen, my condolence to the family!

So tragic and unnecessary, but tragic nevertheless!

To other new motorcyclists...Just follow the rules of the road and remember you don't have an "armor" protecting you from the severity of the impact the automobile provides.

Prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss... Please stay strong and just ignore some of the stupid comments that people leave. They just have no idea what your family is going through right now. Most people are very sympathetic though. I will pray for you family during this most difficult time in your life.

have a little remorse for the passing, but reports did say "Allan Jumadiao Deluta was speeding and merging in and out of lanes on westbound Highway 580 just west of Edwards Avenue when he struck the rear bumper of a black BMW shortly after 8 a.m., a coroner's deputy said."

But again....

The needless loss of a human life is tragic under any circumstances. I shall keep this family in my prayers.

i have based my opinion on facts presented by the press - "Allan Jumadiao Deluta was speeding and merging in and out of lanes on westbound Highway 580 just west of Edwards Avenue when he struck the rear bumper of a black BMW..."
if that's the truth it confirms my statement.

debjean says, " just ignore some of the stupid comments that people leave."

I see daily the activities described in the article. this type of riding not only places the rider in danger but also innocent drivers in the vicinity. this "accident" could have turned out a lot worse because of one persons behavior.

bad attitude... I think that people understand that the rider was not following the rules of the road.He paid for that. I am sorry that my comment about stupid remarks might have offened you. Not my intention. But you have to admit that some bloggers on the TP are just trying to stir the pot and heat things up a little by saying hurtful things. My son died on a motorcycle and I can understand the pain the family might be feeling right now. Sometimes just a kind word can go a long way in someone's life who is dealing with pain and grief. Most people know by the article that the rider was wrong..and some people do understand that condolences are given reguardless of the reason why someone has died.

my original post was not meant to offend the family, friends or loved ones of the victim. what was intended was to drive home the reality to those who may choose to act in this manner the folly of these actions. i have been riding more than 40 years and have lost many friends mostly at the hands of careless drivers. riding is a dangerous activity to point of being exposed to those who are careless. we don't need to expose ourselves to the unnessesary dangers of carelessness on our part. it is a shame this young man paid the ultimate price for what may have been a few minutes of indiscretion. and by the way i did offer my sympathy to the family.

"was speeding and merging in and out of lanes"
Why is it that every motorcyclist think just because they have a motorcycle the traffic laws no longer apply to them? You see it every day, some idiot is splitting lanes at 100 mph, cheating to the front of the line at a red light or blows by your at 120 mph on the freeway.
I know there are good law abiding motorcyclists out there and they, through no fault of their own, get hit from time to time by cars but for the most part I have no sympathy for anyone who pulls this crap and gets killed.
You play with fire and your going to get burned jerks!
