Motorcyclist in fatal Highway 580 crash identified.
A 32-year-old Tracy man died after striking two vehicles while
riding his motorcycle on Interstate Highway 580 in Oakland Friday, according
to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.
Allan Jumadiao Deluta was speeding and merging in and out of lanes
on westbound Highway 580 just west of Edwards Avenue when he struck the rear
bumper of a black BMW shortly after 8 a.m., a coroner's deputy said.
Deluta then reportedly collided with a red Toyota Highlander and
was ejected from the motorcycle.
Deluta was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the
California Highway Patrol.
The No. 1 and 2 westbound lanes were blocked while authorities
responded to the accident, snarling traffic during the Bay Area's morning
commute.
