Tim Michael Case writes that Barack Obama and the religion of socialism he embraces is getting the kid gloves treatment from the mainstream media. Sen. Barack Obama is portrayed as the savior of the world by the national media. Journalistic bias has run amuck. For every one minute of press coverage Sen. John McCain receives on ABC, CBS and NBC, Obama gets 2½ minutes. They give Obama a pass on every contradiction. They won’t even investigate the facts behind Obama, his wife and their associates. The Rev. Jeremiah Wright is one of the nation’s biggest bigots. He has preached hatred and bigotry from the pulpit for 20 years. Obama claims he wasn’t there when these divisive sermons were preached. I guess Obama can’t read. The literature in the church store reads like a black KKK. Obama must also be blind. He never saw the videos of Wright, which are practically given away at the store. Obama saw fit to have his children baptized by this bigot. They attended Wright’s services for more than 20 years. When the flap started over Obama’s connection to Wright, he said, "I can no more disassociate myself from the Rev. Wright than I can from my own grandmother." A few weeks later, after Wright spoke to the National Press Club, Obama almost trampled people to get to a podium to tell America he would no longer have anything to do with Wright. He dropped him faster than a burning coal. William C. Ayers hosted Obama’s first campaign fundraiser. Ayers was the leader of the Weatherman terrorist group in the ’70s. He was on the FBI Most Wanted List for years. Once again, the national media gives Obama a pass. They haven’t reported this association, let alone investigate the facts. Obama and Ayers are still good friends. The "real" Barack Hussein and Michelle Obama were on display recently when Obama told a group of fellow limousine liberals that small-town folks tend to "cling to guns and their religion" when someone comes along who is not like them. Another media pass followed. Michelle Obama displayed her real self by stating, "For the first time I am finally proud to be an American," after Obama cinched the nomination. Michelle spent weeks double-talking her way out of that one. The press believed her every word. Obama has changed his stand on so many issues, he makes Bill and Hillary Clinton look like novices. He’s doing this to win the centrist vote. After infuriating his fellow socialists, he claimed he had never changed his original position. He talked like a man who had no idea what he was talking about. When questioned about his numerous flip flops, he says nothing that makes sense. He is never asked to clarify his position. Obama says he is the candidate of change. He claims a "new" brand of politics. Yet his stump speeches are the same old class warfare and class hatred lines that Democrats of yesteryear delivered. The socialists and their blind followers, who revel in hatred and class envy, continue to eat it up. He goes after the rich and evil corporations. Democrats have decried these same groups for 70 years. Absolutely nothing is "new." No "change" is offered. He is just another Democrat "retread." If America did what Obama advocated in his 160 working days in the Senate, we would have an Iraq bathed in genocide. The terrorists would be in complete control of Iraq and Afghanistan. Obama would be coddling the terrorists with all his "policy of pacifism" glory. Can we really afford another Jimmy Carter in this time of terrorism run rampant? Can we really afford Democrats in control, taking control of our lives by telling us what we can and can’t do? This "religion" of socialism will only grow under Obama. This religion seeks to stifle the free speech of those who oppose the socialists’ thinking. It will start with the passing of the so-called Fairness Doctrine. What will be next after Obama signs that into law? This religion of socialism forces us to accept as normal the abnormal lifestyles of the "do it if it feels good" mentality. It is shoved down our children’s throats daily in the public schools under the name "diversity training." This religion advocates changing the law by the judicial branch of government with its fellow parishioners legislating from the bench in complete disregard for the purpose of the three branches of government as defined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Obama will never "change" this. The sad fact is, this religion of socialism proceeds forward with the presidency of Obama. Of course I suppose Tim Case is a Bush supporter who just announced a budget deficit of $482 billion + another $118 billion for the housing bail-out and the Iraq occupation. When you consider that Bush inherited a $128 billion SURPLUS from the Democrats, he has squandered $728 billion of the taxpayer's money since taking office. That's the kind of socialism that Tim Case apparently likes, not the fiscal responsibility that Obama will restore. This does not even count his failure to prevent 9-11, his illegal invasion of Iraq, his criminal failure to act in a timely manner to Katrina, allowing gasoline to climb from $1.47/gal when he took office to close to $5/gal now, a net loss of millions of jobs, a foreclosure crisis, - a socialist could not have hurt this country worst than Bush has! If Bush is a patriot, who needs enemies?????
Obama does get more press coverage than McCain, but that's likely due to the media presenting the more newsworthy story or the story people want to see. When 200,000 people show up in Germany to see Obama, that's a story. If 200 people show up to see McCain, is that a story?
The rest of the comments by the writer are old news. The media is not giving Obama a pass on these comments or events. The informed voter can seek out information on what is important to them and make a decision. Socialism is not taught in schools. Students are not taught to do something if it feels good. Character education is a big part of the day in Tracy schools. Diversity in the classroom and the world is the reality. This prepares students for the future.
I hope the United states wakes the hell up over OBAMA. This reminds me of the 'new car' mentality but a hundred times worse. When you think you need a new car and after seeing the new car you realize you need it even more than before. But, after taking it home and seeing it everyday and especially after paying the taxes (Taxes? wink, Obama?) and other fees related to the car, it surely doesn't look so pretty afterall. Then you step back and see it as just another car. This OBAMA hype is just that. EXCEPT THAT, the people that are rallying for Obama are the most liberal radicals in this world. Terrorists and biggits. They also have some how ignited others to follow the lead in supporting him. Obama knows this and he has no complaints. This is not a OBAMA rally rather than a ANTI - BUSH and anti republican support base. They want change and they will (hopefully not) get it if Obama wins. You are going to see a smooth talking know nothing empty suit in the white house. Remember when Obama was on camera explaining his way out of the Jerramia Wright issue? That certainly showed me how he can not take a punch and continue his gracefull talk to the people. He looked like a scared kid who's grandmother was scorning him on a sunday afternoon. What will he do in a national crisis, fold like a lawn chair? This guy wants to be our leader of the free nation? In a time of when freedom and America is under attack from all sides, ie; Iran, N. Korea, Villanzuelas Hugo Chavez. Have I left anyone out? Maybe if the people of this country that hate it so much here and whon are not proud of this country should a new country to call home like Iran. And maybe the people who think this country is so cruel and only been proud of their country for the first time should never be in a position to be a first lady. The odassity of a bigot.

What is happening to America, slowly being disassembled by ownerships of foreign interests. Did USA government use any part of USA as "collateral" when borrowing money from China, Japan, and UK?
Will China collect one day? I don't know, but very aware their Red Army way outnumber our troops. The Olympic may show us new events in the future? Vote as if your life depends on it. Not happy with either of them! -amy

Right you are. It was a statement uttered by Jesus Christ. But few apparently believe him any longer because a person has to be a stupid moron to believe in religions like this.  (Sarcasm) I love my Asian brethren as fellow human beings, but if you think we have racial biases here you really ought to live over there for four continuous years. It was a very good eye opener. All you have to do is really watch what China is attempting to accomplish to improve her look to the rest of the world during the world Olympics to really understand what is going on. Yes, vote as if your life depends on it, because really it does. I am not saying that McCain is a good candidate for president either. So it comes to the lesser of two evils and that is currently why he will be getting my vote. Not because he is a Republican or any such reason. WHAT about "wallstreet socialism" where in the past months we have witnessed the millionaires and billionaires getting bailed out like "Bear Sterns" and "Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac"why wasn't this guy outraged then about "socialism". Where was this commentator up in arms about "socialism" when the home owners payed for their mistakes of losing homes and the millionaires and billionaires were getting bailed out by "socialism". Does this guy really know what socialism is or is he reciting Rush Limbaugh's mantras because if you have been listening to Rush lately, this is exactly what he talks about over and over. You know this kinda "mantra" about Obama=socialism is becoming a religious mantra repeated over and over. It's repeated over and over that the people start reciting it because they become "brain washed" like cult followers. Where was this guy when pastor John Hagee who has contributed to the Mccain campaign was making "racist" and "hateful" remarks about everyone. What about this guy's failing to see that Cindy Mccain was a "drug addict" who was addicted to painkillerss who stole money from "non-profit" charities to support here drug habits. What about John Mccain dumping his ex wife CAROL MCCAIN (remember her) when he found out that she had a tragic accident and had tragic physical injuries conveniantly DUMPED her and married Cindy Mccain who was (surprise) a daughter of millionaires of the Hensley and CO. Ask Carol Mccain what she thinks or John! I wonder if Tim Michael Case has ever considered that in general politics and political figures can be compared to "religions" and "messiahs". In that sense one could compare the Republican Party or the "Right" to a religion just as much as the Democratic Party or the "Left". Barack Obama is just as much as a "messiah" as John Mccain is a "messiah" for the right. As far as the scare of socialism, "Fascsim" is equally scarry because it is the merger of corporation and state and was born from Mussolini's Italy when big corporations merged with state with an authoritarian rule. Rush Limbaugh is merely a "prophet" of "fascism" who preaches to us about the "Right". Remeber in the communist USSR we found a totalitarian communist state (the left) and in Germany we saw the rise of a totalitarian fascist (the right) state under Hitler. We do not want either extremes. Tim is under the belief that being "Right Wing" is the only "right"way of politics when any extremism of "Left" or "Right" is dangerous because it leads to totalitarianism.
Obama is a candidate for the presidency, in this country, but yet he can take a trip Europe. He stands before 200,000 cheering German's as if he's the great conqueror back from a battle victory. Just whose vote is he trying to get? Wasn't he a little premature to visit Europe like a knight on a white stallion? He said he was going to visit hospitalized injured U.S. troops but he cancelled that visit for what....to grandstand ifo foreigners who have nothing to do with voting for this man.
Someone else said, about him, in another blog that he just may be the Anti Christ. If the Mayan calendar is correct, that the world will end in 2012, that writer just may be correct.

Hey Ziggy, what the heck are you talking about? I like my new car just fine. I am assuming that you drive a 72 Ford LTD that is unsafe, polluting and gets like six miles to the gallon, and you are trying to rationalize how your choice is better than those of us who own modern, safe cars that get 28MPG? Are you saying that we are all going to go to hell for owning new cars? Or maybe you are saying we are socialists because we buy new cars? And let me see, what else have I left out of a quick summary of your insane letter? Is it your logic, or your spelling, that should cause me to agree with you? I am a terrorist and a bigot for voting against McCain, and anyone who votes for Obama should really move to Iran? So if everyone who doesn't vote for McCain moved to Iran who would be left? I checked those websites offered by Mikem and found this:

Obama had been part of a congressional delegation that visited Iraq and Afghanistan, but when that trip ended Obama stayed on the road, spending several days on a campaign-funded tour of Europe. One of the silliest claims in the TMC drivel is the idea that there are more Democratically-appointed judges who rule laws unconstitutional than Republican-appointed ones. First, we would have to examine whether that is at the SCOTUS level, the Appellate level, the Circuit level or the State level. Next we could go around parsing issues: did SCOTUS overturning the DC gun ban in DC v. Flores add to the list? The SCOTUS majority in that case was from Republican appointees. Yep, it seems that courts make decisions based on law, legal theories, interpretations, jurisprudence and training.
Indeed, one of the interesting changes that has happened across the board since World War II is that the courts no longer view arguments about "The Public Good" as being sufficient for justifying antagonism to civil rights. Now that is much more interesting than this TMC nonsense.
So we see overall that TMC is not correct that:
(1) Journalistic bias has run amuck [and favors Obama] (2) There is any truth to the notion that judicial activism can be defined or can be uniquely assigned to one group or another (3) Any claim about socialism has no more historical or policy-based reality than claiming that Reagan was a socialist for bailing out the S&Ls. So we are just left with pretty petty sniping and lots of wrongness. Ho hum, Dale, as usual fails to actually address any of the factual points made other than to simply claim that "definitions... generally... attributable to left or liberal judges". But is there any actual truth or fact to the matter, Dale? How was William Ayers all things at all these places? Some being only days apart - between N.Y., Chicago, San Francisco? Why is he then (later) given a presidential pardon? "I'm guilty as hell, I wish I could have done more, isn't America great?, blah,blah,blah." and not tried for the terrorist that he is? (was -whatever!) (That's some transparency, Bill?). How do (they ) even then, amass such munition explosive devices without a severe storage/purchasing problem and raise an FBI red flag? Why don't you go look up "Fascism" in the Wikipedia and tell me where it says it was related to "Socialism". In fact Wikipedia and other encyclopedias which are internationally acclaimed and compiled by numerous scholors and historians state that Mussolini brought about "Fascism" to control the "socialists" and "anarchists". timcase: I only want to point out that you are wrong on many factual issues. As for how people choose to vote, I leave it up to their own consciences, but it is certainly true that taking advice from you is filled with errors.
Mikem is correct: Social Darwinism was largely driven by the scions of capitalism in the late 1800s who thought there were innate differences between "great" people like themselves and others (especially "inferior races"). Survival of the fittest was (incorrectly) borrowed and seen as a natural adjunct to capitalistic competition in business.
Later, a sociological movement inspired by animal husbandry advances and involving eugenics ideas became popular and was supported by many churches in the US (United Methodist Church has since apologized for supporting eugenics), and was the basis for a segment of the US population who were strongly supportive of Nazism and, generally, fascism. Henry Ford was a strong anti-labor advocate and was quite fond of Hitler, for instance. Folding together Soviet Communism and European Fascism doesn't jibe with history or really make any sense.

OBAMA is so busy selling himself (media included) to 'we the people' of how he is going to help everyone. I think we need to consider the strong possibility that Cindy McCain is a security risk. She is a known drug abuser who was addicted to prescription opioid drugs. She has admitted to illegal and deceptive practices in getting prescriptions to drugs. She also was discovered stealing drugs from a medical charity she was involved in, using her position to abuse trust.
Clearly, the press is giving her a free ride in not hounding her about her illegal, abusive and immoral past behavior. Oh, and she was the accountant during the Keating Five scandal. Given all this, we should be very concerned about the McCain candidacy :-) President Obama used a little blow, some weed and is in charge of national security. the bigger risk, let me think on that ...
