Suspect enters plea E-mail
Written by Tracy Press

A man accused of stabbing a coworker to death pleads not guilty in court.

Aaron Biag Capili entered a not-guilty plea Friday after being accused of the July 13 killing of co-worker John Patrick Winters at a workplace in Livermore.

Capili’s attorney, Andrew Bota, also requested tapes from a security camera that captured scenes from the parking lot the night Winters was killed.

The trial could be in either Oakland or Hayward, Bota said.

Capili, a Tracy resident, is being held without bail in Alameda County Jail on murder charges stemming from a stabbing incident in the parking lot of Form Factor, a high-tech firm.

A pretrial hearing was set for Aug. 21.

One hundred and twenty five hits (so far), yet no one bothers to leave their remarks?
Have the populace in Tracy become desensitized based on increases in this type of incidents (more stabbings) essentially becoming blase' and now just simply glaze over these types of articles in a form of social disconnect?
Two years ago my son and his friend we're jumped in one of our illustrious parks (I realize the conditions here maybe different -happening at work - is just as bad) and my son was stabbed repeatedly and rushed to Tracy Sutter hospital.
No one was ever charged.
It can't happen here...

I hope the voters will address the crime issues to the candidates and those on the city council questions on how they plan to stop crime in track in Tracy!

Zero tolerance?
Curfew?

It is really getting out of control, Tracyites, demand answers!
Two men recently shot into the car according to Police Log/Blotter, feel safe about driving in Tracy anymore?

Take back your town before it is too late?

I don't think anyone is leaving any comments because this incident is still being investigated. Earlier reporting said that this incident may be a self defense issue. There is no sense commenting on this until all the facts have been presented.

About the only comment that could be made is regarding the title of the piece. Unless he was actually guilty and wanted to confess he would have to be a complete idiot to enter any other type of plea.

Must be a slow news day at the Tracy Press. smilies/wink.gif

Justice can not be served because that man will not be brought back from the dead. The suspect will not get another chance to make a better choice. He was being victimized and he reacted too harshly. He broke the law. I feel sad that he fought back against a bully and this is the result, but the law is the law.
