The Western Late Models leaders will compete at Altamont today.
Leaders in the WLM series, which has a 100-lap race today, include Pleasanton’s Jason Gilbert, whose four wins this season to put him in fifth place in the NASCAR California state standings and 29th in the NASCAR national standings. Others in the event include Brentwood’s Doff Cooksey and Guy Guibor of Manteca, both competing for second place in points, and Justin Philpott of Tracy. Todd Lynch of Tracy is Altamont’s point leader in the Grand American Modifieds, just ahead of Todd Lewis of Riverbank. The open-wheeled class has a 30-lap event today.
