Before forming an opinion on the Tracy Wal-Mart expansion, a local resident says a documentary is worth a look.
EDITOR,
I have followed the news about the possible Tracy Wal-Mart’s expansion to a superstore without much of an opinion one way or the other, until recently.
I struggle to make my finances stretch just like so many others and have shopped at Wal-Mart since moving to Tracy in 2000.
That was until my daughter-in-law suggested that I watch a film that she had viewed on a cable channel. I found it in the On Demand feature of our cable service. The name of the film is "Wal-Mart: High Cost."
Instead of giving my opinion and arguing my decision to boycott Wal-Mart, I would urge Tracy residents to watch the film and decide for themselves. The film says it all.
Suffice to say that a bigger, better Wal-Mart will not benefit our community, residents or employees, in any way, shape or form.
