West volleyball hopefuls and veterans sharpen their skills with a summer session.

West High School is hosting its summertime volleyball camp this week, with about 50 players, including juniors Liu Dellafosse and Brianna Smith (pictured) who went to the West gym to learn skills in preparation for the fall sports season.

Head coach Pete Mullen said he has several returning players at the camp, and assistant varsity coach Gloria Knaus and freshman coach Chelsea Stephens worked with a group of newcomers who will likely try out for the freshman and junior varsity teams.
