Softball standout Nikki Moreno, a 2008 Tracy High grad, is on CalHiSports.com's All-State list.
Tracy High’s Nikki Moreno was recently named to the CalHiSports.com All-State second team for girls softball.
The Tracy High 2008 graduate led the San Joaquin Athletic Association in home runs this season and will continue her softball career at the University of Memphis, where she will play in the NCAA Division I. The Memphis Tigers are part of the NCAA’s Conference USA. CalHiSports compiled the team rosters based on players’ accomplishments and statistics, other awards and input from coaches and sports writers. Thirty players made the first team, including East Union High pitcher Erin Arevalo, and 30 are on the second team. CalHiSports also selected 30 players each for medium and small schools and for underclass first and second teams. The second team included sophomore Tori Shephard of Lodi High.
