Tracy police received 363 calls for service Sunday and Saturday. The following is a sampling of those reports. Sunday: 12:02 a.m.: A woman near Candido Court and Ranchero Way reported kids in the neighbor hood throwing eggs. 12:03 a.m.: A man on the 400 block of Glenbriar Circle reported that someone damaged his front door frame trying to break into the house. 1:05 a.m.: A worker at Domino’s Pizza reported a man jumped out of a car on the 900 block of F Street and tried to steal his cell phone. When the employee fought the guy off, the driver of the car tried to run him over. The deliveryman said his money was stolen, however. 2:16 a.m.: A man reported he discovered someone busted open his front door on the 1500 block of Lincoln Boulevard, but nothing inside was taken. 8:35 a.m.: A caller on the 1200 block of Citadel Street reported someone punched out the lock of the caller’s driver’s side door. 8:45 a.m.: A caller reported someone stole ceramic mushrooms that were in potted plants on the caller’s porch on the 600 block of School Street. 9:23 a.m.: A caller reported someone drove into the caller’s house, caved in a wall, then drove off from the 2600 block of Balboa Avenue. The car may have had a broken axle, the caller said. 1:28 p.m.: A caller was bleeding from the mouth but refusing an ambulance after opponents in a soccer game got in a fight at Placencia Fields at 11th Street and Corral Hollow Road. 2:09 p.m.: Someone smashed a window at Studio II Dance at 2321 N. Tracy Blvd. 3 p.m.: Someone broke into a Honda Civic on the 2100 block of Jenni Lane. 4:06 p.m.: A caller reported a man tried to break into Edward Jones Investments at 1026 B St. He ran off after trying to pry open the lock. 4:10 p.m.: Someone stole a catalytic converter from a Toyota pickup on the 500 block of North Hickory Avenue. 6:30 p.m.: A woman reported someone stole some of her belongings while she was moving from the 300 block of South Court. 7:09 p.m.: A caller reported two or three guys go through the fence of a vacant home and heard the sounds of glass breaking on the 200 block of East Seventh Street. Police apparently found three boys. 7:29 p.m.: A woman on the 1400 block of Lincoln Boulevard reported that every time she tried to leave her house a pit bull charged her. She said the dog had a child by the pant leg, and another caller reported the dog tried to him on his bike. The dog eventually was locked up in its back yard. 8:52 p.m.: A woman reported she returned home to the 1800 block of Thomas De Haven Lane to find a front window of her home broken. 9:19 p.m.: A caller on the 1800 block of Alegre Drive reported that a man in a white car pulled a gun on the caller and asked for all his money. The caller and his friend turned over their keys, wallet and cell phone to the gunman, who might have been driving a Buick with tinted windows. 10:37 p.m.: A man on the 1600 block of Lavelle Smith Drive reported someone is constantly threatening him with text messages. Saturday: 1:19 p.m.: Police apparently detained a man after a caller reported someone selling methamphetamine from a room at the Best Western Motel at 811 W. Clover Road. 3:44 a.m.: A caller from a town home on the 300 block of Mt. Oso Avenue reported that a man lit the caller’s roommate’s car on fire. A tow truck took away a Ford Explorer. 7:58 p.m.: A caller reported someone burglarized the caller’s car on the 800 block of Independence Drive. 1:11 p.m.: A caller reported a man went into a burned out home on F Street, and the caller feared he would start another fire. The man was gone when police arrived. 1:54 p.m.: A caller reported someone shot a hole in a window, possibly with a BB gun, on the 2900 block of Banbury Court. 5:11 p.m.: A woman on the 1400 block of Blue Jay Court reported that her daughter was being harassed over the Internet. The mother said one of her daughter’s classmate’s used her daughter’s name on a MySpace account to post ads soliciting prostitution. 5:33 p.m.: Someone burglarized a car and stole several credit cards while it was parked at Bill Schwartz Park at 1800 Penny Drive. 8:10 p.m.: A woman from the 1800 block of Roosevelt Avenue reported a man threatened to stab and shoot her and her son. 9:44 p.m.: A caller reported someone setting off M-80s near Laurelbrook Drive and Lowell Avenue. 11:19 p.m.: A caller from Sutter Tracy Community Hospital reported that a man had been stabbed. The man told police he was in an argument with his girlfriend and she stabbed him, and that she might be on her way to her mother’s home in Manteca. • This column includes a sampling of items as reported in the Tracy Police Department dispatcher’s daily log.
