Little League All-Star tournaments begin today in Manteca

 


All-Star tournaments begin today for three of the four levels of Little League baseball. Tracy has eight teams in the District 67 tournaments, six that begin play this weekend in Manteca.

Next weekend, Tracy Little League will host the 9- and 10-year-old All-Stars at Jefferson and Monticello schools. Those games start July 5, with the championship game July 13.

Northgate Little League will host the 10- and 11-year-old tournament at Hafley School, 1811 Hoyt Lane, in Manteca, across the street from Northgate Park. The championship game will begin at 6 p.m. July 9.

The Tracy National 10- and 11-year-old All-Stars play their first game at 8 a.m. today against Manteca. Team members, and the teams they come from, are Daniel Canada (Braves), Jonathan Lopez (Braves), Jordan DeWitt (Cardinals), Matthew DeWitt (Cardinals), Braedon Oki (Cardinals), Brody Kooreman (D’Backs), Anthony Nunez (Dodgers), Nick Tobeck (Dodgers), Aaron Denholm (Giants), Jacob George (Giants), Juan Valezquez (Giants), Mitch Cowles (Rockies) and David Warta (Rockies).

The Tracy American 10- and 11-year-old All-Stars play their first game at 11 a.m.
today against Weston Ranch. The team includes Austen Burt, Gabe Chavez, Mark Dionisio, Justin Donato, Blair Hurlock, Zach Lowe, Beau Mantor, Reese Maxfield, Ernie Pombo, Adrian Reboca, Matt Rodriguez, Steven Schreppel, Talon Simmons, manager Ted Butch, coaches Victor Bailey and Todd Wetherell.

Northgate Little League will host the Major League tournament at Hafley School. The championship game will begin at 6 p.m. July 10.

The Tracy National team plays at 2 p.m. today against Salida. The team includes Oliver Messier (Braves), Devin Perez (Braves), Jeremy Vaughn (Braves), Branden Black (Cardinals), Casey Bishop (Cardinals), Nathan VanKatwyk (D’Backs), Joshua Brakkee (Dodgers), Victor Escoto (Dodgers), Albert Landeros (Dodgers), Dylan Davis (Giants), Shay Lafever (Giants), Issa Yusef (Rockies), Timothy Warta (Rockies) and manager George Landeros.

The Tracy American team plays its first game at 8 a.m. Sunday against the winner of today’s game between Patterson and Weston Ranch. The team is Anthony Talaugon (A’s), C.J. Butcher (A’s), Kyle Murawski (A’s), Khalil Peebles (A’s), Jacob Thomassen (Angels), Jeremy Thompson (Angels), Joe Saenz (Angels), Gavin Compton (Angels), Jordan Kirby (Mariners), Kyle Pajarilla (Red Sox), Oscar Moreno (Red Sox), Austin Riches (Yankees), Trevor Trew (Yankees) and Lucas Furtado (Yankees).

Spreckels Little League will host the Junior League All-Star tournament at Sierra High School, 1700 Thomas St., in Manteca. The championship game will begin at 5:30 p.m. July 8.

The Tracy National team plays its first game against the Salida All-Stars at 12:30 p.m. today.

Players are Kendrick Bergmann, Ryan Black, Devon Denholm, Steven Gonsalves, Johnny Gori, Justin King, Eddy Lopez, Matt Loscavio, Reilly Oki, Josh Rogers, Jordan Tencati, Robby Vaughn and Jonah Wesley. Team manager is Mike Loscavio.

The Tracy American team faces Weston Ranch at 10 a.m. today. The team is Zach Abshire, Nano Aguirre, Chris Bacchetti, Cody Daniel, Darren Elbert, Spencer Freeman, David Garcia, Chase Johnson, Austin Larson, Daniel O’Brien, Joe Reboca, Manny Robles, Kyle Scornaienchi, Jason Thomassen, manager Mark Scornaienchi and coaches Joe Daniel and Aaron Sanders.

Go Tracy! The Am. & Nat. 11 and Nat. 12 all won today, does anyone know about the Jr. team?
