Soccer tournament
Big League Dreams Sports Park, Highway 120 and Airport Way, in Manteca, is taking registration for its Fourth of July weekend indoor soccer tournament. Men’s, women’s and co-ed divisions will be offered.

Tracy High sports camp
The Tracy High Athletic Booster Club will host a Summer Sports Jamboree sports camp for all boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade during the month of July. Camps at Tracy High, 315 E. 11th St., will include instruction on volleyball, tennis, wrestling, soccer, flag football, dance and cheer, basketball and tumbling. There will also be guest speakers and contests at all camps.
Three Monday through Friday sessions will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon daily July 7 through 11, July 14 through 18 and July 21 through 25. Cost is $75 per week or $200 for all three weeks.

Tracy High youth football camp
Tracy High School will offer a Bulldog Football Skills Camp from 6 to 8 p.m. July 15 to 17, at Peter B. Kyne Field on the Tracy High campus, 315 E. 11th St.
The camp is open to all youth and freshman-level players, and noncontact workouts will focus on the fundamentals of defensive and offensive play. There will also be guest speakers, including Tracy High coaching staff and former Bulldog players. Cost is $40 per camper.

Basketball team needs players
The Tracy Storm girls 13U traveling basketball team needs six more players to fill the team’s roster for the 2008-09 season, which begins in August.
The Storm is a competitive program that practices three days a week and emphasizes fundamentals and preparation for high school basketball.

Registration for July 4 race
The Merced Running Club will host the Wilson Family Funeral Chapel Run for Independence on Friday during the Fourth of July celebration in Atwater.
The event includes a 2-mile race and a 5-mile race through the streets of Atwater, with the start and finish at Ralston Park at Third Street and Grove Avenue.
Registration fee is $12 in advance, $15 the day of the race.

The Tracy Velocity Pumas U8 and U11 girls competitive soccer teams are looking for new players and a goalie. The teams participate in tournament play around California.
