Students at a local tae kwon do studio place well at a recent tournament.
The students from James Reed’s Tae Kwon Do took home several awards from the Gold Cup Ultimate Internationals tournament over the Memorial Day weekend.
• Michelle Perkins, Monticello School, first place in sparring and forms; grand champion in sparring
• Isaac Paz, Freiler School, first place in sparring and grand champion in sparring
• Jonathan Fox, West Park School, first place in sparring and first place in forms
• Oscar Robles, Kelly School, second place in sparring and third place in forms
• Alexia Zuniga, Freiler School, second place in sparring
• Devin Matalavage, Freiler School, fought a good fight that he lost by only one point • Robeto Razon, first-place sparring in adult division
