Five West High players were named to the Tri-City Athletic League All-League teams.
Sophomore Elida Rubio, who played second base, and senior Caitlyn Girard, who played first, are on the first team. Both were in the top five in batting average for the 10-game TCAL season.
Girard batted .559, third in the league, and tied league MVP Cheryl Freitas of St. Mary’s for the most base hits with 19 in 10 league games. Overall, Girard had 36 base hits and batted .396 over 27 games.
Rubio was the leadoff batter in each of the Wolf Pack’s games and led her team in base hits, 39, and RBIs, 19, for the season. She batted .433 over 27 games. During league play she batted .531, fourth in TCAL, and had 17 base hits.
The second team includes junior shortstop Brie Cardoza, who batted .458 and had 11 hits in TCAL play; sophomore outfielder Cherie DeJesus, who batted .364 and 12 hits; and senior third baseman Bryanna Enterline, who batted .125 with two hits.
Honorable mentions for the team included senior infielder Arianna Welch, freshman catcher Jamie Costa and senior outfielder Gina West.
