A letter writer ridicules the latest addition to the threatened species list.

 


EDITOR,

 

Polar bears have been put on the threatened list. This is stupid.

There were 5,000 polar bears in the 1970s, and there are 25,000 now. Most of them live in Canada, where there is little or no ice. Canadians can get a hunting license to kill polar bears.

This is just another scam to push the phony global warming scam. When is the public going to wake up and recognize these people (Al Gore, included) should be in jail?

It's absolutely essential that we dig Richard Nixon up and put him in jail! After all, Dick was the impetus for the Endangered Species Act.

Al Gore, author of 'Earth in Balance' and 'Convenient Lies, Something my Parents Never Taught Me' is less decayed.

Big Al's ginormus carbon footprint is much more visible than Nixon's and can be vastly reduced by incarceration for hypocrisy.

With 3-5 times more bears on the new 'threatened' list...
we can look forward to the day they become 'endangered' when their number reaches 40,000.

Exceeding 50,000 will be evidence of extinction.

Do you, by any chance, work for government?

I thought it's mandate was based primarily on shedding ice and lack of sea lions:

Wow. You obviously have learned nothing from what has been going on in the world. There have been an increased number of famines, diseases and such that have all been brought about by global warming due to the increase in climate change. Therefore (being that you dont seem to understand the significance of climate change) the crops suffer because of different physcical conditions as well as shorter winters allowing vermin to flourish and spread disease more rapidly. This is the message that people should be getting about America, how uneducated and ignorant everyone has become and a large need for a intellectual movements. So this way we dont have ignorant people peddling ignorant stories such as this one. But hey thats the beauty of America, we have free speech and you're entitled to your opinion smilies/smiley.gif

Hey Hammons and Cose, why would we put Al Gore in jail? You see, the current president is this guy named Bush, and his (Republican) appointees put the polar bear on the list. What does the idiot Gore have to do with it?

Mark; I think in-the-end Pres; Nixon actually became more obsessed with entomolgy.
Yet it's really the damaging effect of another former president -Jimmy Carter.
