Ten other Tracy baseball players also earned nods on the All-League lists.
Ramos was named MVP for his defensive efforts and for his accomplishments at bat, where he held a .429 batting average through league play and hit three doubles, two triples, three home runs and 11 RBIs in 10 league games. Other league awards went to Bear Creek’s Tyler Eppler, offensive player of the year, and Lincoln’s Josh Rodriguez, pitcher of the year.
Tracy players to make it to the All-League first team were pitchers Daniel Heefner, with a 2.04 ERA in league play, and Bret Maddox, with a 3.93 ERA in league; catcher Johnny Espana with a .308 batting average; first baseman Vince Canale with a .484 batting average, eight doubles and 14 RBIs; and left fielder Ryan Scornaienchi with a .333 batting average, four home runs and 10 RBIs. Second-team players from Tracy included infielder Jacob Valdez, outfielder Justin Evans and utility player B.J. O’Bryan. Honorable mentions went to pitcher Kyle Moses and pitcher and designated hitter Josh Frea.
