Daniel Pankratz and Danielle Daviscourt earn the nod as leaders in the pool.
West High announced its most valuable player awards for the Wolf Pack swim team following the team’s awards banquet Tuesday.
For the varsity team, Daniel Pankratz was the MVP for the boys and Danielle Daviscourt was MVP for the girls.
Daviscourt, a senior, regularly dominated her events, including the freestyle, breaststroke and individual medley. She made it to the Sac-Joaquin Section meet, where she competed in the 100 breaststroke.
Pankratz led his team at league meets in the freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke events.
The freshman-sophomore standouts were Jennifer Porter and Joshua Rynes.
Porter led the frosh-soph girls in her races, including freestyle and backstroke, and made it to the section meet in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Rynes led his team in freestyle events during league competition.
