An eighth-place finish at sections ends the Tracy High golf team’s season.
Tracy finished with a team score of 418. The Bulldogs’ low score for the day, freshman Anthony Manguray’s 79, was three strokes over the cutoff for the Northern California High School Golf Championships, which will be played Monday at the Richmond Country Club.
“For his freshman season, that’s a good accomplishment,” coach Derek Solano said.
“The kids are looking forward to having a good season next year,” Solano said.
The team’s other scores Tuesday were Dallas Lopez’s 81, Jake Pineo’s 82, Shane Conner’s 84, Joey Cefcik’s 92 and Kirk Leopoldo’s 92. Low score for the tournament was Turlock golfer Sam Smith’s 2-under 70, and the low team scores for the tournament came from Christian Brothers, 388; Jesuit, 392; and Rocklin, 395.
