Hospice of San Joaquin will soon host its annual memorial service as a tribute to those who were lost to terminal illnesses.
Organizers are expecting 250 people to attend the service, which begins at 6 p.m., June 2 at Morris Chapel at the University of the Pacific, 3601 Pacific Avenue in Stockton. The non-denominational service will include a reading of the names of deceased loved ones. The reading will include between 600 and 700 names. "It’s a way for people to gather with others who are feeling the same loss," said Carey Vanderkar, special events coordinator for Hospice. "It’s a way for people to honor or remember."
