Tracy police received 325 calls for services on Sunday and
Saturday. The following is a sampling of those reports:
Sunday:
1:20 a.m.: Police arrested a woman on suspicion of drunken
driving at Buthmann Avenue and Clover Road.
5:32 a.m.: People took off without paying their bill at from
Denny’s, 3718 N. Tracy Blvd.
7:45 a.m.: A caller from the 200 block of West 23rd
Street reported a burglary.
8:09 a.m.: A caller on the 300 block of East Carlton Way
reported a dead raccoon in the backyard.
8:42 a.m.: Someone damaged electrical boxes at Hoyt Park at
234 Dale O’Dell Drive.
11:04 a.m.: A caller on the 1400 block of Birch Drive
reported his 19-year-old son took the caller’s car out for a joyride and
crashed it. Police cited the son.
11:18 a.m.: A caller reported someone vandalized Ray McCray
Park at 2125 Fieldview Drive by spray painting graffiti all over the park.
Police said the graffiti was old.
1:18 p.m.: Two employees got in a fight at the Orchard
Restaurant at 2351 Toste Road, and one ended up with a head injury.
1:40 p.m.: A caller on the 4100 block of Treana Court
reported someone burglarized the house during a party.
3:12 p.m.: A woman said someone broke a side window of her
home while she was away on the 900 block of West Ninth Street.
3:43 p.m.: A caller reported a kid’s playhouse was on fire
in a backyard of a home on the 2700 block of Jackson Avenue. People put the
fire out with a hose.
3:44 a.m.: Police went to Carlton Way and Parker Avenue
after a report that a man was on the ground and bleeding from his face after
another man beat him and stole his wallet.
4:52 p.m.: A boy from San Jose was taken to San Joaquin
County Juvenile Hall after he was caught shoplifting at Target, 2800 Naglee
Road.
5:45 p.m.: A woman reported parents on the 200 block of West
22nd Street were letting their 2-year-old son ride a bike in the
street unsupervised, and that she nearly hit the kid in a car. Police warned
the parents.
6:39 p.m.: Someone broke a car window at the Chesapeake Bay
Apartments at 2941 W. Lowell Ave.
7:49 p.m.: A caller reported that the caller’s daughter was
being harassed by the new girlfriend of the daughter’s ex-boyfriend. The caller
said the suspect thinks her daughter is still seeing the boy, and shoved the
daughter into a trashcan, and threatens her on a MySpace account. The suspect
works at Save Mart at 875 S. Tracy Blvd, and police cited the suspect.
8 p.m.: A woman reported her house was broken into while she
and her husband were on vacation on the 2600 block of Meadow Brook Lane.
8:14 p.m.: Police arrested a kid after the child broke a
window at the Sierra House group home at 245 W. Whittier Ave.
11:15 p.m.: Police arrested a man on suspicion of drunken
driving after a woman saw him throw up and stumble around the Valero gas
station at 153 E. 11th St.
Saturday:
1:54 a.m.: Police detained three people at gunpoint after a caller reported
someone trying to break into cars on the 3300 block of James Wright Lane.
7:19 a.m.: Police found a stolen car at Linne Road and Tracy
Boulevard that had windows busted, its dash board damaged, and its license
plates stolen.
8:23 a.m.: Someone spray painted graffiti on a caller’s work
truck and mail box on the 300 block of East Clover Road.
8:38 a.m.: A man reported someone broke into his car while
he dropped off his son at a game at the Monte Vista Middle School at 751 W.
Lowell Ave.
12 p.m.: A caller reported a dog bit and broke the skin of
his nephew as the two were on a walk on Centre Court Drive.
12:47 p.m.: Two men got in a fight outside the Bank of
America at 3120 W. Grant Line Road.
2:41 p.m.: A caller asked police to check out a garage sale
on the 4100 block of Regis Drive where the sellers had “about 50 brand new
purses” and “several boxes of sunglasses” that made it look “more like a flea
market than a garage sale.” Police talked to the seller.
6:10 p.m.: A car and motorcycle collided on the 400 block of
West Grant Line Road, and the motorcycle took off. A woman in the car was
conscious and breathing, and bike had a busted mirror and was last seen heading
down Buthmann Avenue.
8:39 p.m.: Someone broke into a car on the parking lot of
Target at 2800 Naglee Road.
9:39 p.m.: A caller reported his 1995 Honda Civic stolen
from the parking lot of Hometown Buffet at 3200 Naglee Road.
10:54 p.m.: Someone broke into a vacant home on the 1700
block of Lilly Court.
11:20 p.m.: Someone broke into a Chevy Silverado and stole a
stereo, an amplifier and speakers while it was parked at the Park and Ride,
2650 Naglee Road.
