Tracy's county supervisor corrects an error in a recent story.
EDITOR,
Concerning the article about the Gateway project (“Council OKs delays in Gateway project,” Wednesday), I would like to correct a misconception and inaccuracy contained in the article. It should be noted that neither former Congressman Richard Pombo nor myself are or ever have been partners with the Gateway organization, as incorrectly stated in the article.
Neither Pombo nor his immediate family have any ownership of the land for the proposed project nor a business association with its promoters. It is Richard Pombo’s cousins (the family of the late Ernie Pombo) who own and control the majority of the land where the project hopes to one day build.
My only connection to Gateway is that my mother, brother and I own a portion of land in the middle of where the project hopes to one day locate.

Hmmm. Something fruity going on there?
Good luck to you Larry. Also, I saw the sign on Tom's property and then began to wonder if all those old tractors and trucks are leaking oil into the soil over there. I hope Tom plans to treat San Joaquin better than that.
Hope you can use that one Larry! Good luck to you!
