• Unorthodox cash generators: As state leaders hunt for politically palatable solutions to the swelling budget shortfall, some Democrats are proposing taxes on strip clubs, six-packs, grocery bags, iTunes downloads, gas guzzlers and yachts as alternatives to broad income or sales tax hikes.

 

• Taco-truck crackdown: Los Angeles County supervisors have voted to crack down on the selling of tacos from roadside trucks, sparking a firestorm of protest and a Web site called saveourtacotrucks.org.

We have spent ourselves into Oblivion....

what do we do?

lets raise taxes!!! tax everything that is politicaly incorrect...
that way we can keep stealing, without suffering any Political damage!!!

This will never end untill the California voters wake up and Kick out these Mafia crooks.

It just incenses me to see Democrats making such proposals, free spending party! Thank you for reminding me why I registered as Independent!

I don't think any candidates for Mayorship will hire more workers in the near future since our economy is not strong at this point.

Just might end up not voting at all this year, too disgusted with all of them, even the choice of candidates for Presidency... if a gun was applied to my head, it will be McGain.
