The Tracy Police Department received 196 calls for service Wednesday. The following is a sample of those reports:

4:22 a.m.: A man reported someone stole two guns and shooting supplies from his unlocked car n the 1800 block of Radcliff Court. The man said he was missing a Browning 12-gauge shotgun, a Baretta 20-gauge shotgun, earplugs, shooting glasses and several chokes.

6:53 a.m.: A woman reported someone broke the window of her car and stole the car keys on the 400 block of East Sixth Street.

8:28 p.m.: A man walked into the police station at 1000 Civic Center Drive to report that someone filed a restraining order against him and he needs to turn in his guns.

8:43 p.m.: A man from the 600 block of Carol Louise Lane reported that workers in a park were kicking up small bits of sawdust and creating a health hazard and he wanted it stopped. He said if the police don’t respond “he could take care of all three (workers) out there at one time and the police department could pick them up.” Police noted the caller has a shotgun and had made threats in the past.

8:51 p.m.: A caller reported hearing 10 gunshots near Amaretto Drive and Schulte Road, but the caller later told an officer it may have been a 21-gun salute at the cemetery.

10:49 a.m.: A caller reported a man showed up to a job site and damaged tools at Lincoln Boulevard and Lowell Avenue.

11:46 a.m.: A 17-year0old girl reported she was assaulted at West High School at 1775 W. Lowell Ave. She was taken to the hospital.

12:52 p.m.: A woman reported she was walking with her toddler when a man grabbed her, threw her down on the ground and was “feeling on her” near Monument Drive and Tahoe Circle.

1:29 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke into her boyfriend’s car while it was parked in a driveway on the 1800 block of Newport Court.

2:57 p.m.: A caller reported someone was shooting a BB gun or pellet gun into a park where children played on the 1900 block of Middlefield Drive.

3:57 p.m.: A man reported that he saw taggers spray paint graffiti at the First Baptist Church at 1935 Holly Drive, and he followed them in a GMC pickup. He lost track of them near Lowell Avenue and Court Drive.

4:19 p.m.: Police cited and released a woman for shoplifting at Wal-Mart at 3010 W. Grant Line Road.

4:26 p.m.: Police cited and released to a parent a kid caught shoplifting at Sears, 3350 Naglee Road.

5:23 p.m.: Police arrested a drunken man for shoplifting at Wal-Mart at 3010 W. Grant Line Road and took him to San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

6:11 a.m.: A caller reported that someone used a hammer to break into the caller’s home on the 1900 block of Blossomwood Lane. The caller suspects a son-in-law, who threatened to mess up the house after he was told to move out.

6:52 p.m.: A caller reported three teens smoking drugs at Slayter Park at 1405 Suellen Drive.

7:03 p.m.: A caller reported kids were throwing rocks at passing cars on the 900 block of Victoria Street. Police talked to the kids.

7:07 p.m.: Police arrested a man on the 200 block of West Clover Road after his mother called to reported he was at the back door of her home and extremely drunk.

8:52 p.m.: A woman reported an employee at her bank told her that someone tampered with a check that was taken from her mailbox and changed its amount to $2,542.

What's wrong with this story? 4;22 am? Unlocked car?

Great.....instead of having gangsters stabbed, they're going to be shot. That's just going to break my heart.

who would leave 2 shotguns in an unlocked car overnight?????.....duh!!!!!should have brought it inside his home, he might need it that night.....seems fishy to me.....he should have gone fishing instead......

maybe if it was a BENELLI or a MOSSBERG, he'll bring it in......he really wants it out of his hands.....WHY?????.....i do not know.......

those are shotguns....you can not use them as sniper rifle.....
